At Yarrow Nursery, we understand that finding the right childcare support for your children is a priority, and we are here to make the journey easier for you.
As parents and carers, we know how important it is to ensure the best possible start for our children, and that's why we're excited to share the latest information about childcare support in England.
In England, parents and carers of 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of weekly childcare support with registered childcare providers.
We also want to highlight that eligible working parents and carers of children aged 3-4 can receive an additional 15 hours of childcare support, bringing the total to a fantastic 30 hours a week.
Moreover, if you have 2-year-old children, you may be entitled to 15 hours of support, if you receive any of the following benefits which is a huge advantage for many families.
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
If you're not receiving benefits, did you know you may be entitled to Tax Free Childcare.
You can get up to £2,000 per child each year towards childcare costs. Tax-free Childcare is open to ALL workers, including the self-employed.
